Posting Summary | A Post-Doctoral Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Haesun Kim, in the Department of Biological Sciences at Rutgers-Newark. The successful applicant will participate in research that uncovers the mechanisms underlying myelin abnormalities associated with peripheral neuropathies. Specifically, the candidate will investigate the role of TFEB/3 transcription factors in regulating repair Schwann cell generation and PNS repair. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in the field of Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related fields, and experience in the use of various biochemical and molecular techniques in conducting both in vitro and in vivo studies using mammalian cell cultures and transgenic mouse models, respectively. The candidate should also have expertise in Schwann cell Biology. An experience in genomic analysis is a plus. The candidate should have at least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal. Good oral and written communication skills in English are required. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Immunization Requirements
