As the lead point of contact to Chief Talent Officers, Chief Learning Officers and/or Chief Scientific Officers of major firms in the tri-state area and beyond, the Assistant Provost will bring potential partnership opportunities to relevant deans and academic leaders for their consideration. The Assistant Provost will serve as the project manager in negotiating terms, developing agreements and meeting agreed-upon timetables.
The Assistant Provost for Corporate Relations will report directly to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of Fordham’s intellectual assets and academic offerings
- Cultivates relationships with corporate leaders to learn more about their organization, the challenges they face in recruiting and developing talent,
and the mutual benefits of a potential partnership with a human-centered, educational institution. - Demonstrates a relational approach to building partnerships that focus on meeting the needs of the client
- Exhibits an entrepreneurial approach to solving problems through creative and practical solutions
Negotiates terms of agreements that both provide value for the client and align with the business model and practices of Fordham University. - Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- An advanced degree in related field
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Experience working with Higher Education administrators and faculty on developing novel academic programs
Experience developing or executing business plans within the corporate sector - Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to DEI practices.
- Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a similar position working with corporate clients and developing customized educational programs.
Minimum Starting Salary: $132,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $165,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
