Position Overview: Innovative Alternatives is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations, and driving innovation to achieve our mission and objectives. Candidate must reside within Harris or contingent county.

Salary: $95,000-$135,000 Based on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision and plan for the organization, in collaboration with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders. Lead the organization in setting ambitious goals and priorities that align with our mission and values.
  • Fundraising and Resource Development: Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from diverse sources, including individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and government agencies. Cultivate relationships with donors and supporters to increase philanthropic support for our programs and initiatives.
  • Program Development and Impact: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative programs and initiatives that address pressing social challenges and meet the needs of our communities. Ensure that our programs are evidence-based, effective, and aligned with our mission and strategic objectives.
  • Financial Management and Sustainability: Manage the organization's budget and financial resources effectively, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability. Monitor financial performance, analyze financial data, and make strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors to optimize resource allocation and maximize impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, funders, and community leaders. Collaborate with other organizations and agencies to leverage resources, share best practices, and amplify our impact.
  • Organizational Management and Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership and management oversight to the organization's staff, ensuring a positive work culture, professional development opportunities, and accountability for results. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members are empowered to contribute their ideas and talents.
  • Board Relations and Governance: Work closely with the Board of Directors to provide regular updates on organizational performance, solicit input on strategic decisions, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Support the Board in fulfilling its governance responsibilities and advancing the organization's mission and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector or 10 years proven experience in a director position.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, program development, and organizational management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into action and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, inspire confidence, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to foster an inclusive and equitable work environment.
  • Sound financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements for non-profit organizations.
  • Passion for social change and a deep understanding of the issues facing the communities we serve.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
