SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Vice President of Marketing for Easterseals North Georgia (ESNG) will be responsible for executing the
organization's marketing, branding, media and public relations, campaign promotion, market research, issues
management, and marketing related customer relationship and engagement activities, all essential to enhancing
the organization's brand reputation and community support. Will also direct the activities of staff and volunteers in
maximizing marketing opportunities that positively position ESNG as a leader in Children's services. S/he will be a
key member of the leadership team and will work closely with the organization's CEO, leadership team, and board
of directors to advance strategic imperatives and drive fundraising.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The VP of marketing plays a strategic role in branding, communications, event management to help ESNG's
programming and fundraising efforts. This position will be responsible for communicating the organization's mission,
vision, and work to various stakeholders, including individual donors, philanthropists, corporations, legislators, and
media. Specifically, the VP of Marketing will be expected to:

Strategic planning: Develop strategic annual marketing plans to support ESNG's mission and goals, and objectives,
including positioning the brand to support the brand's growth in North Georgia.


Brand Communication: Execute all aspects of integrated communication, including branding and advertising, special
events, collaterals materials (internal and external), direct mail, email, sponsorship, partner development, etc. Will
develop and execute an optimal paid media strategy.

PR: Develop and execute innovative marketing and public relations strategies, including traditional and social media, to
gain earned media in the North Georgia market.


Events: Execution of existing events per the marketing plan. Design and develop event-based fundraising programs. Will
drive the volunteer program as a pivotal opportunity to engage with potential stakeholders for ESNG.


Digital Marketing: As an expert on digital marketing, will leverage all current and future digital assets. Will lead the
design development and enhancement of the website, social media, and other digital assets to optimize brand
awareness, raise resources, promote events, and engage targeted audiences across multiple social platforms.

Internal communications: Will work closely with the organization's leadership team to develop, implement, and enhance
all internal communications strategies across different channels and collateral. Will also work closely with the CEO and
board as needed to influence communications with the key stakeholders in North Georgia across all mediums.


Lead Direct Reports: S/he will lead a team of dedicated and talented direct reports in the marketing department to
deliver marketing and department goals and at the same time motivating and nurturing.
Results Leadership: the VP of marketing and communication will be expected to work against, meet, and exceed
approved KPIs. Will effectively manage the department's administrative, financial and budgetary processes.
Represent Easterseals North Georgia as an active member of the Easterseals National Brand Marketing Council.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

Note: the qualifications outlined below represent the knowledge, skill, experience, and ability required.


Minimum of 10 to 15 years of demonstrated and progressive success in marketing and brand-building, ideally in a non-
profit organization. Familiarity with and understanding disability issues, especially in early childhood development, will
be an advantage.


Demonstrated leader in the development and execution of innovative and successful multi-channel marketing strategies
that bring brands to life, with a particular emphasis on non-profit/philanthropic brands.

Ability to lead a team – own, as well as cross-functional.

Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills with demonstrated proficiency in writing for C-suite and senior
executives and the media.

Strong organizational skills, including priority-setting, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.

Proven strength in Digital Marketing and leveraging digital assets.

Embraces diversity and is committed to being a successful leader.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop, Excel, and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or business management.
MBA preferred.
