The Executive Director (ED) is an experienced and compassionate leader who will oversee the

daily administration of Haven of Hope, an independent organization that helps single mothers and their children by providing structured home-like environments, counseling, and financial management. The ED must be experienced in managing an operations budget and work alongside the Board of Directors to develop a strategic plan for the organization. The ED will lead efforts including fundraising, marketing, and community outreach as well as promote the mission, vision, and core values of the organization within the community. The ED must remain in accordance with federal, state, and local nonprofit regulations. The ED will participate in the development of programs that promote parenting skills, financial responsibility, and daily living skills needed for housing stability and independence.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Educational

  • ▪ Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 5 years of verifiable experience as a director in a nonprofit setting with experience in grant writing.
  • ▪ Demonstrated leadership ability with good knowledge of personnel, financial, and client service delivery systems.
  • ▪ Strong ability to network with all program and agencies.
  • ▪ Able to speak to all size groups and write articles when needed.
  • ▪ Good supervision skills.
  • ▪ Able to orient and train personnel.
  • ▪ Able to maintain a strong public relations program.
  • ▪ Possess a strong sense of community.
  • ▪ Self-motivated with good organization and time management skills.
  • ▪ Strong grant writing skills.
  • ▪ Innovative ideas for program and future growth.Experience

▪ Previous managerial experience related to program development, supervision and staff development, budget management, program planning and implementation, child and adolescent care, maintenance of facilities, community organization, and public relations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES

  • ▪ To recruit, orient, train and supervise all staff while assuring that all hiring procedures and personnel management follow approved guidelines and budgets.
  • ▪ Developing and fostering a strong open dialogue with the Board of Directors.
  • ▪ Planning in coordination with the Board and staff, for the direction andleadership of the overall program.
  • ▪ Developing and implementing necessary policies and procedures.
  • ▪ Involved in the development of donor relationships and community partners.
  • ▪ Maintain a strong relationship to the public relationships effort through hostingor providing for volunteers, tour groups, visitors, and presentations at churches,civic groups, etc.
  • ▪ Oversee all program budgets and keep the Board President informed of allfinancial situations which may be critical in nature. Prepare annual budget andgrant requests.
  • ▪ With the Treasurer and finance committee, review and report all financialactivities to the board on a regular basis.
  • ▪ Prepare statistical information from Apricot 360 to supplement grant requests.
  • ▪ Assure compliance of all facilities, programs, and personnel with standards andmonitoring agencies.
  • ▪ Inspect the maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment on a regularschedule to assure all are kept in safe and optimal condition.
  • ▪ Mentor and develop all staff to further their knowledge and gain real-timeexperience to further their contributions to HOH success.
  • ▪ Perform along with the FLC, quarterly assessments of program components,present any suggested modifications to the Board along with explanations ofwhy suggested changes are needed.
  • ▪ Continual review, propose changes, and present to the Board for approval anypolicies to enhance Haven of Hope mission for our mothers and children.

▪ Any other responsibilities as required by the President.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
